The dealers will add in shipping charges. I would go back to the sales staff and ask for a breakdown on the price. How much is the ROPs and how much is shipping.

I would also try another Kubota dealer to see what they would charge.

That price probably includes shipping and installation.

The ROPs is around $150. See this for price:
http://www.kubota.com/safety/RolloverProtectiveStructures.aspx

I got one last year when I got my L185. The installation would have been basically free but I have no way to get my tractor to the dealer. I had it shipped to the dealer so it was cheaper.

You do not have to have the dealer install it and it can be done in a couple of hours (two people needed for part of installation to make it easy).

Here is how I recall it working.

Go to Kubota website (know your serial number) : http://www.kubota.com/safety/RolloverProtectiveStructures.aspx

Fill in form and submit.

Get an e-mail back from Kubota with a quote.

Get dealer to order it, insist on freight to dealer cheapest way.
(assuming that dealer is near enough).

Go pick it up or have the dealer install.

Here is a link that may help with the whole process:

That sounds like a rip, My tractor is not on the list and it's only costing me $350 for the ROPS.
