ROPS , question about fittments etc.

hi all,
just a quick one hear guys, a friend has sold his B1750 recently but never sold the ROPS that was with it, it is not a kubota item but is a good qaulity aftermarket unit.
Will it fit a B7100D by any chance or maybe with small small mods(if so what )

Probably not.

Will it fit with mods?
Yes.

Rob.. I had the misfortune of having to investigate the fatality of a man that built a ROPS from very high end steel, the ROPS was built for an old style CAT dozer that didn’t have one,, the welds were very good and the frame hydro formed,, how ever he went over and the frame work collapsed killing him,, His widow is still trying to collect his life insurance. I realize that your not running a CAT dozer, but your lovely bride or family may have a very hard time collecting anything should something happen.. Just MHO you understand!

just order one from the dealer. bolt on by yourself, $150. I did it about 10 months ago. I decided my life was worth more than that. You may not think as much of yours.

thanks for the input guys, i fully understand what you are saying on the safety front, to be honest i dont really use machine on terrain that is likely to cause tipping over issues, i',m really carefull when useing loader and backhoe anyway.

Trying to locate a ROPS for a b7100 in the uk is , lets say, very difficult.....

I did have the chance of buying one last year that i was going to try and fit onto my B6000 but i gave it a miss, i wish i had bought it now and just kept it stored away for any future useage.

Just a quick update guys, problem is now solved.
I have just purchased a second B7100HST-D which has the factory rops bar fitted, I will being using it on my other 7100 which has the FEL & backhoe fitted now, which was my original reason for obtaining one .
