Good Morning!

I have a brand new BX2380 tractor. The first tractor I have owned. The one issue I have run into is the ROPS will not fold. I have pulled the pins and loosed the black circular screws. It moves just a little bit, but it won't go down. Does anyone have experience with this? Most of the videos I have seen make this look straightforward. I called the dealer, and they suggested I might need to loosen the pivot, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this problem before I invested the time.

Thanks!

The dealer tech probably installed the bolts and pins "backwards." That is, the bolts are where the pins need to be and vice versa. My dealer did that. After installing them correctly, my ROPS folds just fine. Pretty sure there is at least 1 or 2 youtube videos on it,

Yes, you'll need to loosen the nuts and bolts a bit.
I eliminated that problem when I removed and stored the upper ROPS. Made my own 'sunshade' section which is 83 1/2" tall so I can easily drive my BX23S through the garage door of 84" tall. Also removed the seatbelt as no longer needed.

Make sure the bolt is in the rear and pin in the front.
Then if it still won't move holding 120 loosen 100 slightly.

You should send that picture to Kubota corporate. Tell them makes you wonder if going Kubota was a good idea with this screw up.

I'm pretty sure that Kubota Corp knows fairly well that not all the employees at Independent Kubota dealerships are Rocket scientists... or even qualified to flip burgers, but it's who put the top of the ROPS on the tractor, not Kubota Corp.

Thought the tractors delivered to dealers was put together before shipping. Would think the ROPS were at least folded down for shipping. If that is the case, his ROPS couldn’t be folded for shipping.

re: Technically there is no factory cab BX23s,

Hmm, Kubota Canada has a cab shown in their website, and I can buy it from the Kubota dealer 7 minutes from me..... gets me wondering if I can buy the cab direct from the manufacturer and save money....?
Big problems with all the cabs I've seen for the BX23S as none allow use of the backhoe.... and tool tall, above the ROPS ( which I removed..)

The cab manufactured by Curtis in West Boylston MA for Kubota has a provision to remove the rear panel and raise the rear half of the roof so you may use the backhoe.
As for purchasing them direct that isn't possible since it is a proprietary product of Kubota USA. I asked the dealer who installed my cab if the cabs were shipped directly to them from Kubota as a drop-ship from the manufacturer (about an hour's drive from the dealership) and was told that they come in from Kubota's warehouse, which was in Georgia. They truck them from Massachusetts to Georgia and then to the dealers rather than having a drop-ship option. To me, this adds to the cost and does nothing to add to the profits for Kubota or their dealers.

They are not folded down, they are on the bottom of the shipping pallet / crate. ;)
