I'm replacing the crappy incandescent bulb ROPS lights on the new-to-me L45 I recently purchased, and I'm wondering if anyone knows the term for the automotive electrical connectors on the ones that are there? I would like to do proper wiring and I have most of the normal crimp tools and such, but I just don't know how to even search for those...

In the WSM, electrical, there may be a page with the connectors. I know the BX23S WSm does. Somewhat 'cryptic', but you can figure out who made the connector, style, etc.

If it's like my L, get rid of both ends and add a proper weatherproof plug to them. Eastwood has a decent kit for <$100 that includes a crimping tool. You'll find no end to the usefulness. Lights on the truck, tractor, air compressor (on the truck), mouse-chewed wiring in my commuter car.... I've used the kit a lot.

Look at the bulb itself. You may be able to replace the old bulb with a newer LED bulb of the same physical size rather than replacing the light fixtures themselves.

Go with Weatherpack connectors to keep them sealed tight

It's a handy kit for sure! I've found more uses for it every time I do some wiring. Love the factory look and quality. While it does take a little more time, IMHO it is worth it.
As my dad would say "son, there are two ways to do things: right or again." Lol!!

Finally made up my adapter brackets, finished wiring and have my lights all connected! They look *great* and I can light up the world come snow plowing season in the short days of Michigan winter.

Great! I ended up having to also order bunch of extra connectors since the kit only had a few 2 pin connectors included. Also, you were right, I’m using it again already to replace the tail lights

The tail light housing is mounted with a Phillips head machine screw that became one with the nut on the mount, so it stripped the head instantly on me, despite copious penetrating oil and some heat. When I drilled out the head, it turns out there’s no way to get the rest of the screw shank out without destroying the housing (fully encased in plastic mount leg). Replacements are more expensive than a nice trailer LED all in one setup, so I’m machining another new mount and doing another rewiring. Ugh. The joys of 13 year old tractors stored outside in Michigan.
