Does anyone have any idea what the safe operating side angle is,
I mean what sideways angle is within safe limits.

Scared myself a few times, and just wondering if im a woose or if I'm treading the fine line between upright and not upright !

If you feel like your going to flip over, its a good idea to get the hell off of the slope before you do.

What kind of work were you doing on the slope?
Were you on three wheels or not?

It makes a big difference what implement you have on the back as to how they act on banks.

It will help you quite a bit if you are in 4WD also and remember be ready to turn down the hill if it's possible to do so for a quick escsape.

If I am in a place where I can't turn down the hill I will change to a bottom to top aproach with less angle than trying to run straight down the side. When running at it this way you can turn up the hill when it leans to much for your comfort.

Thanks Eric and Bulldog

Well I drive my 4x4 Land Rover across there without thinking twice about it, but the tractor dosnt feel right.

I think maybe you have it Bulldog - maybe some weight on the carryall might make it feel a bit more stable.

I was carrying wood chips in the FEL, had the bucket as close to the ground as possible but it just didnt feel right.

and yeah totally agree if theres no turn down hill dont go there, I'm always aware of my out if it does start cocking a leg up, turn downhill, drop the bucket.

I dont have any other way accross this particular area, and Its not a dangerous slope, it just dosnt feel right.

I like to use my box scrape for my counter weight. I think it works good because it's not very tall and it stays close to the tractor.
