I have been seeing robins for a few weeks, here in southern Illinois.

IF I think about it, we may of had some all winter long. Yet, our weather has been so screwy, one day 70+ next day in the 20s.

I know Saturday when I went out to the bird feed, had a robin and a cardinal impatiently waiting for the feeder to be refilled.

No robins yet...but I heard a meadowlark singing for the first time this year so spring weather can't be far behind.

Robins stick around all winter here in North Carolina. The residents flock up in the Fall and then disperse again this time of year to start staking out their nesting territories. We'll also get migratory flocks stopping by.

We have about 8 of them hanging around for the last week or so. I feel bad them with the 18" of hard snow cover we have here. I don't know how they can survive this brutal weather with nothing available for them to eat. We are way below normal temps here.

I think I saw a group of robins last week here in Pittsburgh. I definitely saw one this afternoon when I walked out of my basement workshop to apply some organic weed killer to a small spot… Something I learned from the neighbors dog!

Have had one lonely looking robin here for about a week. Sun this morning brought out a handsome bluebird and mate. Sheep shearer scheduled for next Tuesday. Weather forecast: snow.

There have been robins here since mid February. They came in during warm spell. The red wing blackbirds are back.

I've had Robins here in northern Indiana since early February. Just saw a pair at the back porch today.

year round. In the dead of winter with snow on the ground I see them in my front yard digging around for grubs. Right now they're out there by the hundreds. I have a lot of yard moss and apparently a lot of worms under the moss and they're tearing up the moss for me, getting the worms out. Fine with me. Boys and girls both. mostly boys though. We were sitting eating dinner and one of them tried to fly into the window earlier. Knocked hisself silly too.

Saw a couple of Robins last week just before we had 30” of snow. Bet they wish now that they had stayed further South.

The migrators got here a few days ago. A good mix of males and females have been feeding most of the day in the back lawn. In in Central NC, but not far south of the Virginia line.
It's nice to see them back. I was just in Atlanta and the males are already singing and setting up territories.
