Some before/after pics of my '97 M4700DT. I bought it used a few months ago for $6500. It has 2800 hours. It has a smooth engine and trans, but it's had a rough life at a landscaping company. I installed new hydraulic pump and rear brakes, exhaust, hyd lines, and hoses on the FEL. I ordered quite a few new parts from Messicks, like: grill, rear lights, decals, headlights, shift knobs, floor mat.
My Dad and I did the paint job in about a week. We need to use the tractor next week, so I couldn't invest too much time and money in the paint job. Kubota brand paint is crazy expensive, so I got the Kubota Orange paint (Majic brand), and also the Steel Gray paint, plus hardener, and primer, all from Tractor Supply Co. The colors matched pretty good. The Orange spray paint kinda orange-peeled sometimes, so I got a gallon of it and brushed it on, and had better results with the brushed-on paint. The Steel Gray paint was great, spray or brush, both turned out good. It's not a professional restoration, but I'm happy with the results. Now back to work!
