I have to replace a leaking hose on the BT603 backhoe. Is there a prodcedure for this. Specifically how will I bleed the system after replacement.

Replace hose, operate hoe cylinder in/out multiple times, it will self bleed.

No bleeding needed. Take bad hydraulic line to Napa or anyone that makes hydraulic hoses and have them duplicate it. Replace hose run machine check hydraulic levels if needed top off fluid.

If it's a hose that runs under the boom cylinder and into that sleeve, up into the boom, make SURE that the place that makes the hose doesn't make a hose that's significantly larger in diameter since it's an already tight fit in there. We have been through this so many times that it'd make your head spin, and I hate it every single time because it makes me look terrible. We basically have two options. Re-route the larger hose, or (2) order/install the Kubota hose which is usually 3x more money and takes longer to get. But it fits perfectly. Neither is an "acceptable" option in most tractor owners' eyes and I don't blame them one bit. But until I can find a source for a local hose maker who makes them the same OD as the originals, those are my only options.

Thanks, I went with expensive kubota hose so fit should be fine. It is for the main boom so it mates up to a solid pipe in the boom arm. Should I Teflon tape the fittings?

No. The fitting style likely does not need it. Further, Teflon shreds strong fibers which cause lots of problems.
