Dan - Existing are 1/4”. But the new cylinder is SAE 8.

I am talking about the hoses not ports. What size hoses do you have now? You can also use a short (6") length of 1/2" tube and 90 degree male ORB x male JIC port adapter that would give you pretty close to original clearance.

Then a 6901-08-04 port adapter should be damn close to the geometry of the port on the OEM cylinder.

Nice! Available on Amazon for $8 each.

Seems like this might work after all. The cylinder diameter is a little larger than the OEM cylinder, hopefully it still fits n the stabilizer leg.

Using Hokie's suggested parts I think you should be ok. It has been many years since I did the work on my backhoe stabilizer cylinders. In the end I disassembled the new cylinders and installed the rods into the tubes of the old cylinders.

Nice. Everything except the bushings are ordered. Need to locate the correct width. I'll let you know how I make out.

Quick update. Finally got everything pulled together and installed the cylinder.

Everything is back together and working. Only hitch is that I must have measured something wrong. The leg goes up and down fine and holds pressure, but it doesn’t go all the way up. So sticks out a little bit past the tire, which is not a big deal unless I’ll driving through right spots.

I measured center of pin to center of pin on the good side, it’s 21.5”. The new side is 22.5” when fully retracted.

I’m just going to roll with it for now.
