Repairing the bush hog's stump jumper's splines

I got a good deal on a 5 foot bush hog.

I paid 250.00 for it with the part to repair it.

Here is the photo of the repaired part, it was easy to replace the splines with a grinder and a welder.

I also picked up a finish cutter.....not such a good deal.

2 of the spindles are completely gone and the 3rd sounds awful.

I got the finish cutter from a friend that had bought it at auction and had never used it so I'm planning to talk to him about it since he said "take it home and try it out and then pay me later".
