Removing SSQA and using Pin-on bucket?

Newbie here. First post! I've searched everywhere I can think of for an answer to this. I figure someone here will probably know right away. I currently have an L3830 with a pin-on CA grapple bucket (4in1). I just ordered a new L4760HSTC and am pretty excited about it. Here's my dilemma- I don't want to have to buy a new grapple bucket for the 4760 at $4k. The two machines take the same size bucket, so I would like to use the one I already have. My question is - can I remove the SSQA from the 4760 and pin my existing bucket to it? The width between loader arms is the same distance apart (according to my dealer), but are they the same dimension square? Without the SSQA, is there a reason that it can't hook up? TIA!

Doubt very much that it'll fit without modifications. I'd weld a SSQA plate on 4n1 and call it a day.

That was my initial plan. I actually have one ordered already. My problem is that with that plate, there is no place to route the hydraulic lines that connect to the backside of my bucket. I suppose I could move the current pin on tabs to the correct location to match my new loader, or fabricate a “Bridge” for the hydraulic lines to run between the plate and bucket.

When I converted my B21 to a SSQA I welded a SSQA plate directly to my old pin on bucket tabs. It was a round back bucket so i would have had to weld a frame of sorts onto the bucket anyway to have any kind of a flat surface. Worked out great and gave me a gap for my hoses. My “tabs” ran vertically from top to bottom of bucket and the plate met the top of the bucket so I had plenty of weld down the sides and top. Not sure how your tabs are shaped but you may find it’s an easy task.

I definitely think that will work. I was just trying to find a way to keep everything as close to the center of gravity as possible. I know the further out we get, the less lift capacity we have. That may be the way to go. I appreciate the suggestion!

Yep, technically you probably do give up a little capacity by wielding it to the tabs instead of cutting them off, but practically I never noticed a difference...even on a B21. Easy to cut the plate off and go back to original pin on bucket too if you’re not happy with it. I wouldn’t be without a SSQA loader now after discovering how useful it they are.

Would a SSQA plate like this solve your hose issue?
Very possibly. I have since reached out to Construction Attachments (the company that makes my bucket) they have a ssqa plate that will weld on. I have cut the ears off and am now waiting on the plate to show up. Incidentally, the bucket lined up to fit the new loader perfectly except the loader pins are slightly larger than the ones on my old loader.
