It is my understanding that I can’t just plug this off at the hydraulic cover. Is that correct?

I want to remove it because it’s leaking and currently serves no purpose. I’m likely to replace it to operate a hydraulic top link and side link for the three-point hitch. It was for a plow.

so for now, should I just get two quick connects and plug it into itself?

I took some measurements, not sure what the thread size is.

Yes, you have to loop the hoses together. The two ports on the tractof are likely BSPP.

See this thread for some examples of the block you have and how it diverts the flow. You can probably just read the first post to see what you need to understand.

You can remove the two hoses and valve and replace that with one hose (or tube) loop between the two ports on the block cover.

You can machine a new block cover if you connect the two holes together.

You can connect the two existing hoses together.

You CANNOT just plug the two holes in the existing cover!

Thank you very much. The thread mentioned was how I realize that you can’t just block them off. I’m also not completely ignorant to hydraulics. I’d like to think when I move past just thinking about it I would’ve realized it but either way I’m glad I read about it. I’m not sure if they were making those distribution blocks With two sets of outputs… i’ll have to reread that.

I initially made blocks with top, side and end ports. The idea was I could make a batch that. covered several different tractor models. OEM blocks were specific to the tractor model and never had more than one set.

You can only use one set at a time and I quickly decided it was easier to make them to order and specific to the tractor.

If you need a OEM block just send me message and I will send you one. This would loop the oil until you decide what you want to do.
