I am looking for the part numbers for a shim kit for a relief valve on an M4050. I see a bunch for the L series, but none for the M series. I have also sent questions in to see if they are the same kit, but I can’t get anyone to confirm or deny.

Put one of the following part numbers into the www.messicks.com parts search engine. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see "This part fits 360 models" and click on that. Scroll down toward the bottom to find the M series tractors and see if yours is listed. Sorry, I don't have the part number for the "O" ring. It didn't come in a labeled package when I picked them up last week.

Shim Part 0.1 = 31351-37970 $0.71
.................... 0.2 = 31351-37960 $0.71
.................... 0.4 = 31351-37950 $0.71

Also don't forget to pick up a spare O ring.

I'm pretty sure you M4050 does not take shims like newer models.

Do you have the WSM?

Hey lets bolt a Ford hub cap on it too as that really helps with performance.

If you read what he wrote, he gave him a list and told him to check and see if his tractor was on the list.
I don't see how that's bad advice. :)

It wasn't as much "Bad Advice" as it was me yanking his chain! ;)

Why would you ruin a Kubota by putting a Found on Road Dead item on it?

I'm not sure if your model is the same as our M5700 but here is the way ours is adjusted from the WSM.
