Handy! Sure made this job a lot easier! Dry rotted tire needed to be replaced. The carryall even provided a spot to rest the new tire.

That is doubtlessly a better quality log-splitter than what I bought for $500 many years-ago…. (but mine must have had better tires as they are still great condition despite my violating the law and towing it behind my truck at 70 mph on I-10 from HOU to SAT when it was new. (Hey…it was too heavy to lift into the truck by myself …and I had to get it home…)
(Maybe you should take yours out on the hi-way occasionally../? 🤣

I have had it on the highway from time to time, but not for a while. Those tires are from 2011. I'd say they have delivered a reasonable amount of usage! :D

On a more serious note…. one thing that can accelerate tire-aging is ozone…. and sunlight….

If your store rubber, tires, etc. near electrical boxes, motors …fans, compressors, etc. the ambient ozone will shorten their life considerably, appearing as “dry-rot”. **

Remember when tires sold at garages and service-stations were always stored wrapped in paper…? They were never sitting up high in stacks like you find these days at Discount, National, etc. … (presumably because they have a high rate of turnover.)

** Some will argue that they were wrapped to protect white-walls…and that was doubtless a benefit. But when I was 18, I worked at an “Humble” service station owned by an Honoree of the Industry, and Mr. Uresti was adamant that the “Atlas” brands of tires we offered for sale were never to be unwrapped until Sold… to prevent the rubber from “drying out”.…
(I’m not trying to create a controversy…. I’m only suggesting to keep tires away from sunlight and ozone-producing electrical equipment …and reminiscing about the “good ol’ days”.) ;)

There are also warnings by some in the industry that warn against ”sitting” and not “rolling” the tires to distribute the “oils and preservatives” within the rubber. IDK
