I just purchased a L3800 (4wd with manual gears) with 525 hours. The previous owner stated he did the 50 hour oil change and changed hydrualic fluid as well. But I'd like to change all the fluids so I know everything is as good as I could do it from the start. I've already purchased oil (Rotella 0w-40 full syn) and I'll get the Kubota oil and air filter.

What other fluids do I need to change. What are recommended change intervals? Its my first tractor so I'm not sure exactly what all needs to get changed or done.

Thanks

Maintenance chart is in the Operator's Manual, Models L3200, L3800. Code TC420-1971-2. It not only tells you when but how for the simple jobs.

Hey there, I would't/can't speak to anything specifically "recommended", but I'm somewhat in the same boat.
Not sure if you've seen this, but pretty decent starting point: http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11064&page=1
I've been doing some reading on other 'new' threads but I think I missed that one.

Its a used tractor so I didn't get an operators manual. I wonder if their is a pdf out there of it.

Look at the very tippy top of this subforum for the thread labeled Read Me etc, and in it there is a thread about manuals and where to get them. Yours might not be available free anywhere, but two guaranteed sources that I remember off the top of my head are a kubota dealer and Messick's or another parts dealer. The owner's manuals are about $25 from kubota, and the shop manuals for the newer tractors are a lot more.
The owner's manual is a must have in my opinion!

Try kubotabooks.com/

They have quite a few.

Good luck!;)

Note - I did check, and found a L3200 WSM - don't know if the same.
