Maintaining lots of grass at a certain level of beauty adds up to lots of hours fast. Prices in Canada tend to be much higher than what we see in the USA for the same model. Seen this all the time when I was more heavily involved in the antique garden tractor hobby as we had a few guys from Canada in our group. If the tractor looks really nice, runs well and has no obvious issues, its probably worth the asking price or close to it. When I got my T1600, most that I found(and they are rare anyways) were beat to death or had major issues. This one I got was in really nice overall shape, and the engine had been professionaly overhauled by the owner's diesel repair shop/trucking company. Mike

hmm 148 hours of grass cutting in 1-2 years ?? That seems like a LOT of grass in a short time.
Value ? I had a quick look and saw a 2015 ,asking $5700 Canucks. Dang, that's a lot of money for a 'used riding mower'. I'm still stuck in the 'don't need a diesel to cut an acre of grass' mindset. I can get a gas powered equal ( 54" deck) for $2K, any day of the week, so I don't see the true need to buy a diesel. My 20 year old riding snowblower( Craftsman/Berco) stored outside, tarped, started up fine after 3 days of 5-10*F cold, once warmed blew a LOT of snow.
Still wondering about the 148hrs of grass cutting in a year ......location ??

I like some of the features on the GR2120.......but then......at what cost, I ask myself!!

I have used the GR2120-2 w/54 inch deck for 2 years now to cut grass exclusively, bought it new in 2018. It works perfect for this purpose, I maintain ~2 acres with it. I also have the Kubota bagging unit to match it (GCK54-GR).

Absolutely zero complaints on the GR's purchase and it's performance.

I’m a little late to this conversation but this is why I chose my BX1870 this week.

I have about 2.5 acres to mow and have been using a JD316 for years. I recently started helping out at a camp where I mow at least 5-10 acres with a BX22XX. It was so nice to have power steering and a more comfortable seating position and foot pedals and 4WD, if I need it. I found out I like the Kubota better than the Deere.

I looked at the new Deeres and with power steering and 4WD and they are up around 9K. I stopped by the Kubota dealer and they had a 300 hour, 54” deck for slightly more. I bought it. I also like the front end loader availability for snow because I have a 200’ drive and large parking area, which the Deere with it’s plow just was not cutting it.

So, in this market with nothing new available, I’m happy with my purchase and I think I made a good move.
