Hydraulic cylinders on B8200 FEL are leaking pretty badly so I decided to see if I can rebuild them. I have gotten one of the cylinders off but I cant tell how to get it apart.
The other one is still on the machine, bottom pin is frozen its been soaking in penetrating oil for a couple of days. (no grease zerk at the bottom pin)
Put some heat on it with a propane torch but not budging yet. Anyone ever rebuild these or should I just replace?
What say ya'll, thanks

On my old B7200 I just removed them and took to a hydraulic shop for re-build. Replacement cylinders were not available. Was a KW loader with different cylinder ends.

Assuming you have a BF300 loader Kubota wants $200 per seal kit. I would scrap them and replace with new aftermarket cylinders.

Rebuilding with aftermarket kits is usually the least expensive way to go.

Retrofitting with generic cylinders would be the second choice. Ports on generic cylinders almost always are 90 degrees from factory cylinders so you may have to change hoses.

If you decide to go with generic cylinders the retracted length is the first consideration. Next is the pin diameter and cross widths. You might have to trim the head end and add spacers to the rod end. Don't exceed the extended length anymore than you have to.
