Rear remote quick connects

My L2501 has one set of rear remotes with a pioneer male and female. All the hoses I see on amazon have only male fittings. should I change my rear to two female fittings or change a hose to one male one female? I'm planning to add a hydraulic top link.

I prefer double acting female couplers on the tractor and male tips on the implement hoses.

Pretty! You add a trailer 7 pin, and you would be golden! I toyed with the idea of installing a to tank port. Don't have a use yet, but I could see the need in the future.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a male fitting on the tractor side of a rear remote. Why that is, I don’t know. My dealer put all females on the rear of my L but also put male/female pairs on the loader and third function.

I am a little confused. Lonesouth, you say that hoses on Amazon all have male fittings? I would assume that would be male pipe fittings? You then just use quick couplers that have female pipe fittings on the other end. Although female couplers are not that common on rear remotes, they do seem relatively common on 3rd functions for grapples for instance.

At this point, with your tractor already setup with a male and female, it becomes a preference thing for you. You can either change it or set up your implement hoses the same way. If you go with one of each, you will never hook the hoses up wrong. If you convert to the standard female ends on the tractor, then any implements you buy or borrow will hook up without changing a hose end. Your tractor will work fine either way you have it setup.

My B7200 has a tank return outlet on the rear. It was used with my 3pt log splitter which I powered with a constant flow outlet (OEM) on the 3pt cylinder cap.

The left most outlets that I installed on the L3901 are setup as constant flow OUT/IN similar to the way Kubota plumbs the BH77. However they are switched by a selector valve - behind the PTO lever in this picture. They are only hot when the splitter or some other implement is connected so there is no need to loop them when it is removed.

I use one male one female on the tractor side and on the implement side.
1: I can easily keep the direction of valve movement to cylinder movement the same all the time.
2: I connect the male to female hoses together on the implement side to, 1 keep them clean, and 2 to keep the coupling from becoming hydro locked from pressure buildup.
