Is anyone aware of a Tech Bulletin concerning the rear oil seal for the ZD326P? I've had mine since 08 and have 300 hours on it. I read somewhere that the replacement seal may have a sleave that has to be put on with a special tool.
Separate problem. My temp gage decided not to work one day. All the connections seem good. What should I check next?
Any information or ideas appreciated.

Service Bulletin # AG042-07 ( Canada)

Service Information:

There have been reports of oil leakage from the oil seal at the rear of the crankshaft on ZD units equipped with 05 series engine.

To resolve this concern, the oil seal has been changed from an acrylic rubber type to a fluorine rubber type to improve the reliability of these seals.
In addition the back end of the crankshaft has been changed to include a wear sleeve.

Should an oil leak occur at this location, the new type seal must be installed as well as a wear sleeve.

You can get the proper tool But I have installed them without it. simply get the sleeve started squarely by lightly tapping with a hammer then reinstall the flywheel to push the sleeve into position. of course do this without the seal installed! Then remove the flywheel and install the seal normally.
