Hi All,
Tractor has done 1150 hours of which the last 150 were by me and I don't know its history before that. Having had one of the spindle bearings collapse on my deck, I figured I would replace all of them.
Whilst the gear is off the deck I noticed a build up of gunge on the gearbox casing behind the main pulley & I think the main seal is weeping a tiny amount or oil. Is this normal or should it be bone dry? If it is loosing oil it is a tiny amount as there still seems to be plenty in the gearbox.
I guess what I am asking is do I need to strip the box down and replace the seals? If so what parts are worth replacing in addition to the seals?
Thanks
Jonathan
