I have never had to adjust my mower deck since purchased in 2011. However, this year it seemed that the height selection knob and actual mower height did not match. When unloosening the lock nut on the control rod, the shorter rear adjustment broke.

I replaced it and tried to use the manual and measured the total length of the control rod as the manual stated
I did no other adjustment. The deck is perfectly level but was reading 1/2-5/8 lower than the control knob. My dealer advised to adjust the two links just above the deck and the front links.

I did this and it now reads perfect and level but will not raise to a point where the selection knob will allow me to move it to the top or lock position. What did I do wrong? When lifting the three point, it does seem that the three point lift arm moves sideways just a fraction and I think this is my possible issue but I am unsure how to fix it.

Have an RC72-29A on my L3010 and will be happy to help you troubleshoot. Post a video to YouTube and share the link showing this sideways move. Then I could try raising and lowering mine to see what I can see comparison-wise. Anyway, if the sideways motion is due to wear, then welding the hole and drilling it again to spec easily sorts it. Else, buy a replacement part from Kubota.

Thank you for the assistance. I added three videos to give you an idea of what I am looking at. I do believe the lift arm is not true. However, there is no way to tell as the entire piece is different angles. I did use a set of mics on the inside and outside and the are identical.

I pulled the lower center link pin and rolled it on a flat surface thinking maybe it was bent. It rolled perfectly. I think the video does show the connecting rod pull slightly to the left when raised and I think it is enough to cause my issues as it does not allow the control knob to turn properly as it is not straight up and down and meeting the lower can squarely.

I guess my question is which part needs replaced to stop the yaw when lifting. The rear three point arm also has a deep gouge in it from hydraulic pressure which could cause it also but that damn part is almost $400.00. The lift arm is at least cheaper at $78.00.

I apologize. I have spent all damn day trying to this website to let me upload a video. I have changed formats 20 times and it will not take it so I apologize but I have about had it with this damn site about at much as my issue with my tractor. I am not computer illerate, but this is crap. I can try to email it to you but I sure and hell can't upload it. Sorry but my patience is gone.

This “damn site” does not allow videos to be uploaded.

Post on youTube or such site and then post a link in a post here.

Russell . . . suspect reason for no videos is the sheer size of the data, so posting on YouTube is probably best.

SPDS6 . . . anyway, reason I'm asking for video instead of photos is because then we can all see the magnitude of the sideways deflection you're talking about. Me, specifically, because then I can give you immediate feedback regarding whether mine looks about the same.
