Hello from the UK,
I have recently became the proud owner of a Kubota G1900s garden tractor for mowing around 3 acres of grass. I'm having problems with the Rc48-g20 deck thats on it- the tension arm is mounted on the opposite side (right) to normal so it takes a 90 inch belt instead of 96 inch. However, it still isn't operating correctly and the belt is stalling and burning. More on this later once I've figured out how to upload photos on here.
Having just missed out on 2 vgc Rc48 decks relatively local to me I'm wondering if the newer Rck48 decks are a direct fit?
Having looked at a few Kubota models it seems the general layout for deck attachment hasn't really changed a lot in 30-40 years for their larger/professional garden tractors. I don't want to spend £500+ to find its slightly different and mess around having to fabricate and weld brackets etc.
Anyone had any experience of fitting an Rck deck on a G1900?

When owners post about belt problems on mower decks there are some standard questions that come up.

Do you have the manual for your mower deck?

If you do not, then perhaps the one split in three parts on Kubotabooks.com is the one you need.

If this is your particular mower deck, are you adjusting the spring tension screw to stretch the spring to the correct specified length of 5.9"?

Where are you buying your belts? These days there are many brands which claim to be Aramide and equivalent to Kubota's Kevlar but the experience with some makes owners think the labeling is misleading in that the belts are not high strength reinforcing.

Post some photos of your deck with the belt installed and spring tensioned.

I've already downloaded those thank you but my deck layout is slightly different with the tension arm mounted on the other side, hence the need for a slightly shorter belt.
The V belts I've used are genuine OEM Mitsobushi belts.
