Good day! I own B2601 and recently bought a RB1672 rear blade. I must be missing something here. I pull the pin so that I can tilt the blade and it won't budge. What am I missing? Thanks for any info...

Which pin are you pulling ? Sometime you have to jog the blade back & forth . You are removing the pin all the way ?

It is the pin that the manual says to remove for the tilt. On the backside of the blade. You have to turn it vertical to pull it out. Once removed the blade doesn’t give at all. I’m wondering if something is too tight and won’t allow any movement.

Did you check for a shipping bolt that needs to be removed?? Pictures are almost always helpful.

I looked at the manual - the ataching bolts may be a little tight. After you remove the pin put a block under one end of the blade and lower the 3pt lever and see if that helps.

If you have used the unit before you tried to tilt it there there could be some dirt/rocks in the holes .
Try rocking the unit up & down on one side . I did find with mine that the blade hit the frame when trying to put it in max tilt . I marked the top of the blade where the interference was & hit it on both sides with my angle grinder , Now it goes max with no problem .

Thanks. This is a brand new blade. We used it a little without tilt. So we will try that too.

I did what yoou suggested and it did move but we couldn't get the holes lined up to put the pin back in. Soo I think I am going to have to try loosening the bolts, and see if that will allow it to move with ease a little better.

Check all the holes for alignment . The pin doesn't have to go in the center hole .

Mine had been on the lot for a while and was rusted in between the metal layers. You shouldn't have to remove the bolts to rotate, but you may need to use lubricant and a block of wood with hammer, etc to get it to move easier. Once I was done with greasing it, I didn't tighten mine as tight. It's been fine ever sense.

It could be the guy on the assembly line's air gun was set for a zillion ftlbs and the 3 mounting nuts are a wee bit too tight. Maybe loosen them a tad, try tilting the blade, if it move, add some light grease, rustcheck, old oil, then 'snug' up the 3 nuts to 'firm' not 'TIGHT'.

I bought a 2672 Blade for my L2501 that had been returned to the dealer- almost new, but paint faded.

I had to use a breaker bar and socket to loosen the bolts a bit and the old squirt can with used oil to douse the pivot before it was workable. Like the last two posts, adjust to the tilt you need and then just snug the three three bolts back to hold..

That's what we were thinking and overzealous assembly line worker...

I'm having the same issue, I'm gonna soak it in penetrating oil and try using the 3 point to move it and will report if it works.
