Radio 9 pin to 3.5mil aux?

Hello all,

Just picked our new cabbed lx2610 the other weekend and am wanting to get the speakers hooked up. Don't need a radio as I play from my phone and don't really want to spend the money on a radio. Any one had experience with wiring a 3.5 mil jack to the 9 pin connector? Thinking to just snip the connector off with cable left on it to reconnect it if need be. Then any idea how to wire it? Be glad of thoughts... thanks.

That's not going to work based on the current info.....
YOUR cell phone will not power those speakers, what you should do is install one of those "inexpensive"
FM/Bluetooth radios

then just use the bluetooth function, the radio will power the speakers , and your cell phone will provide the data.

You could also try a set of amplified speakers as would be used on a computer. You can then get power for them from the tractor and plug them into your phone's jack.

I use a set of Bluetooth ear buds and then put on a pair of ear protectors with a -31 dbl rating. I can play songs off my tablet at a low volume, and drown out the whine of the hst. I have gotten use to what the normal operating sounds of the tractor if something goes wrong. I do have a radio in the cab that I can play as well, but prefer the buds

I had a pair of these - I was not overly happy with the sound quality - for 60 bucks you can get a really nice set of over the ear - earphones that have excellent sound.

$95 for a radio that is less than $20 at Walmart and a pigtail you can buy off Ebay for $12
Oh and I forgot the connector for the RTV I believe is reversed from the tractors

The wiring harness is a 9 pin, from where I purchased it the brown wire is a grey wire to match Sony; let me know if anyone needs a comparison table between the 9 pin and a Sony.

For anyone that wants to copy the configuration that Messick's Tractor radio kit for Kubota tractors offers here are links to the parts.

You would then add the wiring harness from the stereo you want to install to create the complete wiring harness like the one included in the Messick's kit. Hope this works out for anyone interested.
