I have a L2501 with a land pride RCR 1260 cutter. I have the worst time adjusting the three point arms when one of the lower arms starts leaning on a rear tire after multiple cuts. Will a quick hitch prevent the lower arms from moving during cuts? Does it stabilize the arms? Thanks for help.

What you need are the kubota telescoping stabilizer bars. They are a godsend and make attaching and using attachments easier. I fitted them to my L3200 and L3901. Google them, about $200 pair and 30 minutes to fit.

good luck

A quick hitch will still allow the three point arms to rub your tires if the stabilizers are not adjusted properly. Get the mower to level ground and adjust your stabilizers so you have a little play but not enough to rub the tires. Tighten the jam nut. Telescoping stabilizers will make the job much easier.

Messicks Part No. L8430 $185-50 + Shipping. These were the best modification I made to my smaller tractors.

Sounds good. Will the telescopic stabilizer keep my cutter running straight during continual heavy cuts? And what type of adjusting is necessary? Thanks for your help.

Watch this video. It'll answer all your questions. A picture is worth a thousand words. EDIT: Gator beat me to it while I got sidetracked watching other Messicks videos lol.

Yeah, but you one upped me by putting it directly in your post. How do you do that?

I have the QH15 and the recommended stabilizer kit above (came standard on my tractor). These have worked fine with my RCR1272 and no issues with it shifting and hitting the tires. It keeps it nice and aligned behind the tractor.

The QH isn't needed to accomplish the alignment, the stabilizers will do it. The QH just makes it easy to change implements for me.

I have an L2501 with Landpride 1260 rotary cutter and a Landpride QH15 quick hitch and have not noticed any issues. I do not have the telescoping stabilizer arms. Buy the quick hitch and try it. Even if it doesn’t work you will be glad you have a quick hitch.
