Is the Kubota system an industry standard? Will I be able to use attachments from other manufacturers. Will skid steer implements work with my Kubota 2601?

SSQA is the Industry standard. 2-lever, quick attach style. My new BX23S has it.

JD has a proprietary system.

Yes and No, yes they'll attach, but most Skid steer Implements are going to be way too heavy for your B2601 (and always include the B with your model #).

I want to get a pallet fork for it. Kubotas is $1200.00 from local dealers, 6-800 dollars from other manufacturers. Will any one here recommend a name they have experience with?

I've got a set of united attachments pallet forks from titan attachments (palletforks.com). They work well and weren't expensive. With your tractor you need to be mindful of the weight. You don't have much lift capacity so you don't need very strong forks, so just try to find the lightest ones you can.

I just purchased a B2650 and got Landpride 42" forks. I think list was $799 from my dealer. Love my forks by the way.
