I'm new here so sorry if this has been covered. I have a B2100 that takes a little more than 3 gallons of 10w-20 hst fluid. Dad has a T1460 lawn mower that holds about 2.5 quarts. Thought i would get a 5 gallon bucket of a good hydrostatic fluid and do both. The problem is the 1460 manual recommends 20w-30. Talked to guy a local kubota shop and he said to go ahead and use the 10w-20 in both. Anyone know or have any suggestions?

You might look at the Shell Donax TD, that is what my L3410 takes. My JD 425 Garden Tractor will take the same. If you use them allot in very cold weather you may consider Donax TDL.

Thats kinda of strange since most Kubota's its recommended to use UDT or Super UDT in the hydro systems.

Bad advise if you ask me. Needs UDT like Eric said.
Sounds like my dealer, needing to work on something broke.

If you want the best protection for yor ride I recomend Amsoil Tractor Transmission/Hydrolic Oil. It's a 5W30 weight oil. It will make it run up to 70 degrees cooler in the summer and will allow free unrestricted movement in the winter as well.

I would say you need to buy both the owners and service manuals for your tractor, it will spell everything out for you so you can save some money down the line. ;)
