Pretty sure that it was bought for my third tractor (and first Kubota) that I bought new in 2002. All the forum chatter convinced me I needed one. I ended up like the dog who chased cars for years and finally caught one - once I had it the interest died.

In a recent conversation the topic of mounting a landscape rake on the loader rekindled my interest. I had made a QA frame a couple years back to get started. Other stuff interfered. First project of cleaning out the fence row that has poison ivy and thorny things without getting too close up and personal would be enough to motivate me. Then there's some upcoming regrading where it would be handy as well.

After a heavy dose of defoliant, the QA starter frame became visible. Considering a half dozen approaches to turn the QA frame into something that could act like a QH that were less than desirable, why not USE a QH? Since the QA frame was already done, this would take a lot less fooling around. The wheels were whacked off of the rake. If they're ever needed I have some sturdy square tube to make them "easy on and off". Since it's doubtful the QH will be used for anything else, it was narrowed by about 4" to work with the rake. If that changes there's probably a simple adapter that could be glued together. At one point I must have exceeded the duty cycle on the MM175, so the Everlast stick came out to help.

It's all wrapped up unless it gets painted. It works in my head but still needs field tested. That will be later today or tomorrow. The same sort of chain suspension that I used on the snow plow was employed. A rigid connection to the loader just couldn't work in my head. If there's something that needs down pressure, that can still happen by applying a little "dump".

That’s the BEST use for a QH I’ve ever seen.

If you need another you can have the virtually-unused one sitting in the corner of my shed for the last 20 yrs.

I like your "rolling welding table".

Great idea for working outside of the garage.

I have one of those MM175's too. It has been a great little machine.

Nice job fabbing it up! (y)

I think it will be pretty handy too. I bet it will be better than having to "twist around" constantly to see where to place the rake.

Regarding the wheels; I wonder if you could use them somewhere between the QH and the rake so that you could put the loader in "float mode" and they would act as a "height guides"?.......Just an thought.

D2 - It is for back dragging only. The rake itself doesn't rotate 360°. Except for removing the wheels, it wasn't modified and can still be used on the 3PH.

Geo - Glad I finally found a use for the one I had in storage. The QH is about as necessary as the Ruger Speed Strip Kit.

Runs - Thanks. For something that isn't a quick fix, there's a sun shade and 4 permanent anchors to string it up in a hurry. I built that table a few years ago and it's been super handy. An old Wilton vise on the one corner will hold some big pieces. One end has a pair of those step-on feet that jack up the table about 1" to make it stay put. This was only the second or third time the MM175 made me take a cooldown break. That Everlast inverter stick machine was a good buy. It's smooth and user friendly with 7014.
