Purple Martin Colony

I just started trying to attract Martins. We bought a house with an early 1980’s DuraCraft two level six sided metal Martin house. Sparrows and starlings had been nesting in it for years. Got it cleaned, restored, and holes plugged. Installing a couple decoys today. Hopefully will attract some martins but I know it could take time.

Anyone else keep Purple martins as a hobby? We currently have 3 racks with 24 gourds each for a total of 72. We usually have 70 pair every year. We fledged approx. 315 little ones last year. Fun fun.
