N.Y,
Hi, I use this little pump for any kind of oil / Hydraulic fluid. Primes easily.

You can premeasure amounts into a small container and quickly pump it into differentials, wheel gears etc. I got those nice 1L 1Q containers (link) so I wouldn't get caught using the Pyrex ones from the kitchen :D
That looks like it will work. I just ordered a 6 liter funnel can to transfer it to and a wonky funnel that just came. Thanks everyone

N.Y,
Got the 6 liter container for pouring and just waiting for the pump. It's bigger then I expected 😲. May just keep it full of hydraulic fluid for storage as it seals up good.

N.Y,
Hi SideKick, Can you give us a link for that container??
And: Does it have volume measures on the sides?
Thanks, Terry
These are the ones I bought but the price has gone up considerably.
I paid 6.49 for the small one 2 qt and 7.49 for the big one 6 qt. They have quart and liter markings. I used a sharpie on them

Filled the 6 qt with hydraulic fluid and it worked good. Screwing the spout on is a pain and wonky but no leaks yet.

Thanks SideKick.. This will be perfect for the oil changes where I know the correct amount.. for LogSplitter, mower, small tractor, generator etc. SO much better than pouring, checking, pouring, checking, pouring TOO much..

set the bucket on the fender, and siphon it into the tractor with a hose. I used a piece of leftover garden hose (5/8) which barely fits in the fill hole of most of the L series, which is predominantly what I did.

I bought one and used my Heat Gun to custom fit it using a wood dowel so I didn't mush the tube

Works perfect for the front Axel and the Transmission, I do use a 2 Qt plastic pitcher from the Dollar Store to pour so that I am not manhandling the 5 gallon bucket..
