I took out a lot of fence posts. Take a heavy nylon towing strap available at Home Depot and lots of other places and yank it out with your car or pickup truck . Real easy and fast. I yanked out hundreds of hedges , shrubs, and posts . The neighbor lady thought I was a professional landscaper I became so proficient. Just a hillbilly with a tortured past. We both laughed.
Thanks but I've seen that scenario go wrong. I think I'll leave my new truck in the driveway and continue the plan with the tractor. Glad it worked well for you.

Pulling posts with a car or truck probably works well in some soils, but in the high country where my cabin is, the ground is chocked full of interlocked rocks. It is often impossible to drive a T-post in, and when you can get them in, probably 1 in 10 will not pull back out, even using the rim/chain method. You will occasionally see a T-post cut short and sitting in a 16x16x8 block full of concrete, & often see them torched off at ground level when they won't come out.

In my area I've never had a problem pulling t-posts. I have a manual post puller that works fine. Never felt the need to automate that. But these wooden posts are more of a challenge. Got several of the smaller ones done today but got stuck on the larger corner post. Made progress with the tire/rim method but will get back to it tomorrow. I was getting tired after going at it from different directions, different gears and was starting to make mistakes in tractor operation so best to quit and start fresh tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
