Depends on what you have planned for the spot. I'm currently clearing some land for an orchard. Leaving stump/roots in the ground is not an option. I bought a stump bucket for that. A 2 foot diameter tree may take an hour, 1 foot takes 20 minutes, anything under 6 inches is dealt with in a minute or less.
