Pulled trigger on MX5200HST

I've been trying to decide on the best tractor for my needs for a while. We have all the major brands within a 30 minute drive and most of the dealers have good reputations. I narrowed it down to a Branson 5220R and the Kubota MX5200HST.

I have friends that own both brands. They didn't have same models but no one was interested in selling a Kubota and some of the Branson owners while not looking to sell were willing to entertain offers. Each had its good and bad points, but in the end the loyalty won.

So to maintain 70 acres (25 pasture, 5 lake, 35 woods, 5 house and yard) I finally got the MX w/FEL, RC, BB, Grapple w/ 3rd function and hoses (installed) and Canopy. Wanted several other things like remotes, rake etc but didn't have cash for all. I can add them later. Take delivery in 12 days. Going on vacation and wanted to wait until we return.

Thanks to all the members that post here. I've been lurking a few months and threads here have been invaluable.

Congrats. I got an MX5800 last fall which is almost identical to yours.

Congratulations on your new tractor, the MX is a real value in the Kubota and you got most of what you "need", "wants" seems to never end.

Going to Everglades (think airboat)... is it odd I wish I'd skipped vacation..... Could have had it delivered sooner, but didn't want to leave all the new toys...err tools out while gone.

Congrats on a nice machine. I have the same tractor only in the "gear" version.
I haven't found much that mine won't do. Small enough to be handy and big enough for mid size jobs.

We are looking at MX5200HST as well. Good to see it got good reputation same to some people I know.

Congratulations... that is a great machine. I came so very close to buying one this spring, but the dealer offered a very-very good deal on a L3560 cab. I still was going to buy the MX, but kept thinking about the cab & winter, and ended up with the L (my creeping-up age weighed in on that decision). Now and then I still think about the HP and load rating of the FEL on the MX5200, but I'll make do. It is a really nice tractor. I am sure you will enjoy it.
