Do you have a preference as to it being a hand pump gun or does it have to be an electric grease gun? Lock n lube or regular tip? Any specific brand?

Actually all of the above at one time or the other.

The PTO shaft is a wear item so rather than a thin product, I want high pressure #2 grease.

I pull the shaft apart, and use that spray white grease seems to work for over wintering

For what it’s worth, this is the auger/pellet feed drive chain in the guts of my pellet stove. Lotsa dust and dirt in there. Two blowers running 24/7 within inches.

Lubed it a year ago with Fluid Film. Still pretty clean and slick. Not a great picture.

With some other lubes, you couldn’t identify the chain very well. Coated with dirt. Had to wipe it off to lube again.

Figure if it works there, should work on a PTO shaft…

Fluid film is my choice. When my cutter used to sit outside, I made a wooden box to fit over the gearbox.

I wonder if the Fluid Film would be good for the Kubota Snowblower chain instead of using chain bar oil as is recommended in one of the manuals.

I've used it on a bike chain becaue that's what I had available. Seemed to work pretty well. Bar oil is often kind of thick. especially when cold. I would be concerned it wouldn't get into the chain much. I usually thin mine with some cheap motor oil.
