Hi... I have a B7500HST. I was tilling today and had a small issue. The best way I can describe it is it almost seemed like the pto stopped and was slipping internally. If I stopprd moving or lifted the tiller a little it would continue tilling. My thoughts at first were that maybe the clutch needs adjusted or maybe the tiller was a little big (56'') however what I have read the PTO is gear drive so I'm not sure! Other than that it runs fine no strange noises no grinding. Any help would be awesome!

Many tillers have a friction clutch, to protect the tractor PTO and tiller chain or gears. It will be an assembly, probably on the tiller end of the PTO drive shaft. It is round, usually 6-8" in diameter, and will have 6-8 springs on it. They probably need to be tightened a turn or so of the tension nut on each spring. You want it to till OK, but slip if it hits a big root, rock, etc.

Yes it does have a slip clutch on the tiller however that's not what was slipping. The pto was stopping... I had my wife get on it and run it so I could watch it up close.

If the PTO is slipping or stopping the clutch is shot.
Yes it's direct drive after the clutch. ;)
