Ok I’m going to ask the dumbest question ever. I have a B2601 I bought a few years ago new. I finally got a quick hitch flail mower last year. For the life of me I can’t attach the PTO. So I got a PTO Link thinking that would make it easier and I’m still frustrated. I can’t get the PTO to turn nor can I get the attachment to turn. What the hell is the trick to connect this mower to my tractor. I was watching a few UTube videos and the guy on Cluttered Garage could get his PTO to spin freely but mine doesn’t and the dealer says they don’t. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My B2601 was very hard to turn when new. Did you put your PTO selector lever in Mid PTO only position first as that should make it possible to turn the rear PTO output shaft. After the PTO shaft from the mower has been connected you can return the PTO selector lever to Rear only and away you go.

I don't have a link but Google up Sloan Express and PTO wrench. I have one of there PTO wrenches in ever tractors tool box I own. I have gotten older and weaker and turning the PTO shafts to line up is a pain.

I second the PTO wrench. Connect the disconnected PTO shaft to your tractor, and then use the PTO wrench on the mower to rotate/connect to the mower's PTO stub.

This is how I connect my finish mower (only thing I have to do this way). The LX 2610 SU does not have a PTO selector (no mid-PTO) to allow the free rotation of the tractor's PTO stub.
