Was mowing a few days ago, and when finished shut down the PTO but the dash light for the PTO wouldn’t go off. Played with it a bit, but had to go so shut it down - PTO was not spinning. Went to do more mowing today and the tractor won’t start. Have the PTO light on on the dash. Played with it a bit but no luck. I might be able to reset it and try again, but I thought I would see if anyone has recommendations. Thanks.

If the PTO light is on the tractor thinks the PTO is engaged. That's why it won't start. You should try to locate the PTO sensor switch to see if it's the problem. There may also be an OPC (operator presence control) circuit failure.

As Road said - the light is on, the tractor "thinks" the pto is "on" - thus the switch that sends the signal to the light has not reset or moved back to the normal setting. Find that safety switch and bypass that and see IF that corrects the light.
