I’ve operated a few tractors but now I’m an owner of a B6200 not sure of the year. I’m (supposedly) Be only the third owner. Guy I bought it off said a 1991 but he also said it was meticulously cleaned and maintained! Haha. The serial number is 62388 to me that’s a ‘88 but I dunno. He also said that it had low hours, 200hrs I laughed. It would have gathered more idling over the last thirty years! Who knows how many times it rolled over. Anyways the negative stuff is out of the way, I’m happy with my purchase, have leveled out a few piles of gravel so far with it. Bought it primarily for the blower on the back. Just wanted to say HI to everyone on here and all the best!
Has anybody put engine gauges on these tractors before, I hate to rely on idiot lights and I’m told there is a whistle in the rad. Vent line for overheating!
Thanks for any advice
Couple pics of my new ride below.

Welcome to the OTT forum. You have joined a great site with very knowledgeable people.

Congrats on the "new to you" tractor.

Tractors do not really have a year like cars and trucks do. Their year is when it was originally bought.

Yes, 200 hours seems very, very low. Has it been sitting for most of those years?

The pictures were great as everyone loves tractor porn. :D

It seems like a strong runner but I don’t know for sure only one I’ve ever owned.
Also seems like it sat outside most of its like in the sun due to hair line splits in tires and cracked hydraulic line sheaths. I’ve almost done the regular maintenance on it just need to flush rad and change front end lube. Homemade cab will be nice for our winters in central Ontario.

Welcome, you can install an oil pressure gauge where the sending unit for the light is on the back, left upper side of the engine. Put a "T" there for the oil sender and you can still have have the light.

Might do a search here for the temp gauge. There are several threads on how it's been done.

Looks like the cab is in serious need of some new windows!

Take a picture of the front of the engine, that model was equipped two different ways. Early models were thermosiphon (with a whistle) and later models will have a water pump and a thermostat. ;)

It has a water pump and thermostat. Going to put a npt adapter water temp gauge in it. I ordered the 26mm one hope it fits!
Also going to put handcrank window wipers on it lol the windows were all dew that morning I took the pics!

Welcome...a great find.
the plexi glass seems a tad faded. I like to see what I'm doing. I'd change that before cold weather sets in. But that's just me.
