I have that system and love it. I will tell ya I didn't know they had their own fuel. Mine runs just fine with fuel from the gas station.

Bubba I donlt know where your from but there aint no place around here where you can get gas with out ethanol in it, Wish I could and that's a fact. In fact one station has the new stuff with more ethanol 20% maybe? I don't know but it sure does make my truck valves rattle,,

Skeetz little buddie there are some places that you can still buy 100% straight gas and not ethonal. Those gas stations are rare but they are out there. Someome posted a while back a link to a website on here that gave a map of gas stations across the US that are ethonal free.

I mix up batches of fuel and put a fuel enzyme in it to treat the ethonal problem. I have used a product called Tru Fuel and it does have night and day difference over normal fuel. It's premixed 50:1 and ready to go straight out of the can. Has a 2 year self life if the can has been open and a 5 year life if kept sealed.

Those engines will run ok with ethanol fuel but,, It's the sitting around with fuel in them that kills them. Corrodes the brass and aluminium and softens the rubber gaskets. I guess I'm fortunate, there's 5 stations within 10 miles of my house that have non ethanol gas. That will change over the years . I also keep a 55 gal barrell full in my shop.

Eric, you use this stuff right out of the can in chain saws and stuff, or do you mix it with your gas?

No mixing, straight out of the can premixed and pour into your tank. I've bought a can or two here and there and used them in my saws and weedeater and lemme tell ya they woke up and ran like hell with Tru Fuel.

I agree with the use of Tru Fuel- it is available in 40:1 or 50:1 mixtures. There is also a brand called VP Racing Small Engine Pre-Mixed Fuel.

Usually available at Home Depot or Lowes if they are in your area. You can also get this from the arborist sites (Bailey's...)

I only have one thing that is two stroke so don't really want a lot of fuel sitting around nor use a lot of fuel but this pre-mixed fuel is expensive (~$5 per quart) and I do mean quart so that is about $20 per GALLON. But it is really nice to remove the cap and pour it directly into the equipment. Usually get about 2 or 3 fills from one quart for the trimmer I have.

Starts well and runs well every time.

That's the beauty of it, a gallon can of untreated gas will go bad within 30 days if not used up quick enough. Causing all kinds of problems from turning the carb into rust and deteriorating the fuel lines and eating them up bad.

OUCH  5 bucks a quart, man when I'm cutting fire wood I use a lot more than a gallon, but I might try a tank and see how it works just for grins

You can buy it in 6 packs and in larger volumes in store or online at a slightly reduced price. I think the larger the volume the cheaper but what individual using power tools really needs 55 gallons of premixed fuel? May be for a motor cycle...

WalMart is supposed to be cheaper at ~$4 per quart. I have not tried there but will next time I need it.

skeets, check out this website. It lists pretty much all of the known stations where your can buy ethanol-free gasoline. I don't see any listed for Washington, PA but I am sure that you can find one near enough to you so that you can buy it are store some.

There are 3 stations in my area, one just down the road, that carry ethanol-free gas. It's out there, just not everywhere.

Edit- I looked on the site, and there are 12 stations within 20 miles that carry it.
