Wherever your hydraulic controls are for the FEL, you need to add an additional hydraulic 3 way valve (extend, open, retract - in the center, open condition it needs to allow fluid flow through the valve, and have both control ports sealed off). Find the return line from the existing valve assy, and add a hose from that valve port to the input port of the new valve. Take the hose you disconnected from the existing valve and put it on the output port of your new valve. Now, you have two control ports for your new hydraulic ram.
Check the size of the existing hose connections and go down to your local hydraulics supplier and tell him what you are trying to do - he'll be happy to line you up with the correct parts. You will be on your own for mounting the new valve
