Picked up the second part of my post hole auger. Doing it in pieces so it's a little easier on the wallet.
First piece was my pallet forks. This mounts to it. Saved $300 this way (SA10 with the SSQA mount is $800 more but I could have had it with a $500 discount when I bought the tractor.)
Heavy, but I can pick it up and I'm not that big of a guy. So I should be able to just set it on the mount when I need to.

Next up is probably the Land Pride 3rd function kit. I need to take a closer look at the tractor and the directions so I understand everything completely before I get it.
And wait for the credit card to recover a leetle. :p

Last will be the auger(s) themselves. Easiest to find and cheapest. So they can wait.

Plus I'll need more hydraulic fluid.

I love how they include a (cheap) ratchet strap.

So.....this is going to be used on the "Craftsman Lawn Tractor",..... it being the only "equipment" that you have listed?

Good on you for installing the third function yourself. It will look as good as you want it to, whatever that may be.

You mind sharing what you had to give for the SA10 power head?

Remind us, did you get an LX? I looked, BX23S.

The SA10 was $2200.
That's just what you see in my first post. The SSQA mount it attaches to is another $800, but you can also mount it to the Land Pride pallet fork mount, so you don't have to buy the other mount.
Which is what I did (or am going to do).
Also doesn't include an auger.
So not cheap. But worth the extra money ( I hope :p ).

I was torn between the SA10 and SA20 (20 being much more powerful).
The SA10 is designed for 4 - 8 GPM. And is specifically designed for subcompact tractors (according to Land Pride), which to me would mean specifically the BX tractors.

The SA20 is designed for 6 - 35? GPM. Which my BX barely squeaks in. So I figured I would play it safe and go with the smaller one.

At some point I'll test it out. I have some pretty rocky New England soil to see how it does.

I saw that thread awhile back. I may order one of those at some point but I'm starting with an EA tools auger. See how this thing does before I throw any more big money at it.

Got my augers in.

And found out I'm missing 2 pieces in my third function kit.
Land Pride is sending me them via the dealer, which I then have to pick up.
Was hoping to post pictures but don't have time tonite.

May want to install your 3rd function and test your auger before 50hour maintenance to help catch and flush any debris.

Envious. Looking at similar auger systems for the M59 ssqa and backhoe mount. $$$ Would have been helpful 40 years ago and miles of fenceing.

Yeah, that's a good idea.
Unfortunately already done. I'm past 60 hours since it's the very first service and I don't know how long the tractor (and oil in it) was sitting on the dealer lot I wanted it out.

It's obnoxiously expensive. Irritates me to be honest. But I've learned the least painful way to get a job done is usually to pay out the arse for the right tool in the beginning.

Considerably higher. Just like buying the tractor. But it's mine. I can use it at my leisure. And most likely for other things down the road I haven't even considered yet.
And this (SA10) isn't something that's easy to find to rent, if at all, around me.

I don't know whether to be impressed they thought my order was their most important or horrified they couldn't even get their most important order right.

Some of the small stuff in the kit. I'm missing both of item # 20.

I also learned a 9/16 JIC fitting in Kubota speak is actually a 3/8 fitting, or #6.
9/16 (x 18?) is actually the thread size. Same goes for other fitting "sizes" they list.

That is not Kubota speak that is industry speak. Its called tha dash size system where the dash number is the fitting trade size in one eighths of an inch - e.g. -06 = 6 x 1/8 = 3/8. That is further complicated by the type of fitting

JIC and SAE fittings designate dash size by the OD of the tube the fitting is designed to fit. A 3/8 (-06) JIC/SAE fitting has a 9/16-18 UNF thread

NPT fittings designate dash size by the ID of the pipe. A 3/8 (-06) pipe fitting has .675 x 18 thread. The thread may be either straight or tapered.

You will also find a lot of BSP fittings on a Kubota. BSP is the British version of NPT. Like NPT it uses pipe ID as the size designator but the thread is a different size and pitch. The thread is also a 55 degree Whitworth thread.

Kubota is calling the size of the fittings I'm missing 9/16.
These fittings fit a 3/8 AKA #6 line.

Usually when referencing a certain size fitting the size of the line is used. EG a 3/8 line would use a 3/8 (or #6 in this case) fitting, not a 9/16 fitting.

THAT is the Kubota speak I was referencing. Kubota using the thread size instead of the line size as the "size" of the fitting.

The hydraulic shop I called had no idea what a 9/16 JIC fitting was and it took a few minutes to figure out what was going on. They had no problem finding multiple 3/8 #6 JIC fittings.
