Stall mats are a bugger to cut. I have heard of people using some kind of saw. For my blade, to protect my concrete in a V shaped drainage area, I have used a plastic 5/4 deck board. The V has worn the outer corners as needed, but has not broken the board. Cheap. The board is well supported by the blade itself. The really thick commercial poly blades might be better for an airport since I suspect you'd be plowing at a hgher speed, and no time to stop if you fractured a blade in the cold.
