Pivot point lubricaton

Is it acceptable to heat tractor pivot pins to loosen hardened grease for ease in re-lube of pivot pin channels thru zerk fittings? I have heard that it is acceptable but would like some other input...Thank you all

I never have. Never heard of it.

Try to grease at use intervals that wouldn't require it.

Now if it were -30F degrees , might be different story.....
