Is there a preferred / recommended lubricant for the various exposed pivot points (linkage pins, etc), that doesn't stay wet and attract dirt/ debris.
I've read of some that claim to be a dry film lubricant and protect against rusting but thought members here may have suggestions on what has or hasn't worked for them.
Hoping for something that works and doesn't need re-applying every use.
Aerosol is preferred due to the location of some of them
Thanks 🍻

I use a lot of Fluid Film® around my place. Tallow based, it leaves a soft coating that both lubricates and deters rust. I also use it on my snow blower chutes and the underside of my mower's deck.

Thanks for the reply . Reading a bit on it, I'm assuming it stays tacky which would attract dirt dust, clippings etc. 🤔 yes or am I mistaken?

It does stay soft, but not particularly tacky. Grass doesn't stick to the deck where it's sprayed. Snow doesn't stick to the shovel or the blower chute, either.

I haven't tried it on the underside of the deck ... But did use it on the blade bolts flanges ...

Have been using some left over from the mtn & road bike racing days chain lube called ProLink Gold. Old stock that's over a decade old. Use has been limited to the 3 pt. Seems to still keep things lubed. Maker big claim back in the 90's was some form of "surface bonding" lube that keeps motorcycle and bicycle chain in good shape. Expensive if you just purchase the 4oz bottle. A little goes a long way.

When supply is depleted will probably switch over to Fluid Film.

I am very pleased with this. The carrier flashes off almost instantly, leaving behind a dry lubricant that holds up even on Stihl gasoline commercial hedge trimmers. Needless to say, it won't attract dirt or grit. One can lasts an extremely long time.

I first used this on my Kubota RTV-X900 shift linkage. The linkage didn't squeak, it was just difficult to get it into gear on occasion. I sprayed every joint in the mechanism and it greatly improved the smoothness.
