I just had the block cleaned and bored, sleeves pressed in, then did rebuild. I (thought) I was adamant about everything being secure and correct, but must’ve overlooked it. Hopefully they can press in another sleeve into that cylinder. I’ll see on Monday

I’ll be ordering new rings I assume also

Ok update on this

got new sleeve pressed in, reassembled and installed motor, started right up. That scored cylinder was my main problem from the get go.

the only issue I’m having is this:

going up inclines is dies way down, but runs fine when flat and at full speed and while using bucket.

the only non-by the book-thing I did when re installing the engine is that i lengthened the fuel line that the primer bulb is on, because getting your hand down in there and priming it is a very wonky and awkward procedure, so I made it that the bulb can come out of the side of the machine if I need to prime it, and tuck back in when I’m done. All in all, I added maybe 18” to the length of the fuel line.

Any thoughts on if this might cause a fuel pressure drop under load on an incline?

Sounds like the fuel pump is weak or not working and gravity is your fuel pump. Going up hill gravity isn't getting the job done!
