Just the second time I used it, the first was in soft spring dirt, this second time I expected less of it, but easily got a full bucket with no particular strain, LIKE. I also got to try out my new single axle dump bed trailer, light enough for me to use my plug in hybrid RAV4 (120 mpg) instead of my 1 ton, (16 mpg) when making dump runs and other light loads.

Love the Piranha on my BX. Probably the most useful purchase I've made in terms of doo-dads for the tractor...and there have been plenty of such purchases. I leave it on all the time now since it makes most everything easier when bucket work is needed. Even use it to clear pretty thick brush with easy. Getting to be in need of a sharpening after a couple years use. I'll probable use a pneumatic die grinder with a stone to make short work of that.

I have used it twice so far, both times when I needed some fill to build up another area, undistrubed earth with no rocks, and it saved me either shovel work, renting a mini X, or last of all, kicking myself again for selling my Kubota U25 (with less than 400 hours on it) ! Bought used, the mini sold for about what I paid for it, my per hour cost was single digit, but when over a year went by and it just sat in an outbuilding taking up room, I convinced myself I didn't need it anymore. The P blade fills the gap good enough so far the rare times I need to move some dirt.

My experience with a Piranha bar was also good.. I didn't do much digging with it.. I mostly got it to ware moving snow on the gravel drive rather than ware off the bucket edge.. It took some ...learning curve... to learn to use, but worked very well.. It also worked well to back drag the teeth at a steep angle to score ice for safer walking and driving traction..

My kid discovered they work great for tearing a big hole in the side of my metal barn ;)
