Picking up new b2650 Friday

Good to hear from someone who owns/operates a b2650. Yes, part of their checklist includes loaded tires. Ready to order the piranha toothbar, but just realized im not sure if they come standard with 54 or 60 inch bucket, so have to hold off on order. Is there a significant difference between the two? Anyways, I can't remember being this stressed about a purchase before. So many variables to consider. And if its not powerful enough, I will feel quite embarrassed in front of wife.

I too own a B2650 and can say it has plenty of power. What it does not have is plenty of weight. Now I am a tractor newbie so I did now go for filled tires because my dealer didn't mention any good stuff, he just said water. I was unclear about what would be safe for the inside of my tires and rims so I didn't go with filled tires. I only have a 48" scraper out back but it does help noticeably when using a loader. From what I'm reading even though the 60" bucket is called a light material bucket, it's very similar to the 54. My tractor came with a 54 and it is plenty to make the tractor light in the rear. Even with my box scraper. Loaded tires may be a good option.

When using the tractor, I stay in medium and do 4WD for loader work, then switch to 2WD for the rest of the trip. I've pushed brush etc and you would be amazed how much extra oomph you can get switching from 2wd to 4wd. The other day I wasn't getting much done pushing some branches etc, and put it in low and the sucker just mowed over everything in my way.

I'm going to rotate mine around so I can use my thumb without having to change my hand position.how much did you pay for your tractor? My five foot cutter cut knee high grass with no problem going full speed in low range.most of my cutting is done on flat ground. It did feel slightly unstable on a side incline. I would prob recommend a 4 footer if cutting on a sideways slope.but for flat ground the 5 works just fine. I'm impressed with the lifting capabilities of this little tractor. The only complaint is they should have a way to lock mmm in raised position so you don't have to remove it when using 3ph and the armrests don't come out far enough.

Volsfan your right about the incline part my b2920 is a little scary on a incline. I use a 4ft cutter that I got with my old L1500dt and it did great on a incline. Other than that I love it.
