Nothing says spring in the Northeast more than syrup season.

Lighting wasn’t good, but the bubbles in the purple sap tubing were just screaming right to left, toward the gathering tank.

Was 20 degrees this morning, and 63 degrees now.

A few pics from last Sunday, hiking in New Hampshire. The trails still had 2 to 3 feet of snow but once I got above treeline it was all melted from the sun.

maybe you should've used a RFM? 😉
ROFLMAO -Thanks man, I just spit some OJ on my screen.

This was a first time in that field. Having learned and learned the hard way, I always use the hog for my virgin trip and set it high on the first go-around. Next time I will use the flail for sure, it is a nice field. This would choke my finish mower (of course I could just be doing it wrong).

Couple of shots from my land which I am in process of creating habitat and restoring more to a Oak Savanna.
The female Eastern Towhee is a new species for me to observe on the place.

What camera did you use for these shots? Surely not a phone..
Really like the dragon fly!
Got a fair amount of rain overnight. Washed some sap off the tree onto the ground. Kinda looked like ice in the wintertime View attachment 62153 View attachment 62154

I used my Sony DSLR 77 with a Tamron 150-600 zoom lens on a window ball mount.
Thanks for question and feedback on the dragon fly. I used to try and id dragonflies but found it took more time than I was willing to spend, lol.

That's a really good pic for that big zoom lens, must have had it in its sweet spot. I used to really enjoy photography but I've gotten out of it for the most part. I still have my DSLR Nikon D300, just haven't had it out for a couple years!

Had a rare opportunity to go fishing this morning bright and early. Those that know me, you know where I am at--and you might recognize this. It was about 82 degrees at the top of the ramp. When I got into the boat, I was very close to shivering; about 50 degrees. Stopped to get a quick vid of how it is on the river here in the hot humid summer. There is no better therapy that I know of, but to get out there and just sit in the boat, listening, watching the wildlife. Very tranquil. No sound in this vid but there were two eagles, one on one side of me and the other on the other side-chattering back and forth. For those that don't know, bald eagles kinda sound like sparrows. I always took it as "Speak softly and carry a big stick". Owls galore. Later on as the fog was "lifting", seen a couple of deer eating in the weeds. The bigger one was on her hind legs eating some leafs off of the tree limb above her. By time I got the phone out of my pocket, they were gone.
