Off topic but my Oticon hearing aids changed the app and deleted the old one so much for apps. I have 2 pair and the older ones were the ones I would wear if out tractoring cutting firewood etc because of the sweat factor.
I was able to have the old app and the new app both on the phone and could control either pair.

That is until Oticon came out with a new and shiny program this spring and shut down the older app.
It doesn't allow you to have those 2 sets on there at the same time.

This is the kind of thing that may seem minor to some but as you get used to something that you thought was part of the deal in purchase and it goes away, You don't spend $7500 on hearing aids and then just go get another brand.

It is hell to grow old but it beats the alternative!

I've only ever used one app to store data on my phone and that's Applied Ballistics. I had a lot of firearms and optics data in the app along with numerous charts for lots of rifles shooting both factory and hand loaded ammunition. The app allows the user to back up all of the data to Applied Ballistics and I took advantage of that feature. Also, I bought the app as a "lifetime" product with free updates, storage, etc.

A couple of years ago I had to get a new phone that came with a new release of the Android software. Despite a "lifetime" purchase of the app I was unable to download and install the latest version without paying, and no longer had access to my data so that I could import it had I paid for and downloaded the latest version of the app. I called Applied Ballistics and their response was "oh, yeah, you'll have to buy the latest version and some of the functionality didn't carry over. Sorry about that".

My old phone still works and I can pull up ballistic data on that phone, but this experience convinced me to use the free ballistic calculator that Hornady offers as well as the Nightforce program I've had on my PC for two decades and create spreadsheets that I can import to my phone.
I've had experiences like @McMXi and others here where software or the operating system it runs on changes and suddenly all that data is inaccessible.

The old Excel 97 .XLS spreadsheets work pretty much everywhere now (except the 4.0 macros do not), so you can throw an old, cheap machine in the shop, no Internet required, and log data (to a floppy disk, if you want).

@McMXi helped me out with a spreadsheet, that guy is a wizard with that. I've had a few other things to jump on before wrestling with it (my well went dry), but I should be getting to it "shortly."

I have downloaded the mykubota application and it’s really handy. It not only has a maintenance record, but it also has video tutorials for maintenance.

I use this as well, since I know my dealership service dept can then access records on my mini. I like having another app for everything else (vehicles, orv's, generators, etc.). Quick and easy PDF and CSV exports to wherever, whenever. Convenience is the important part for me, access to the information when I'm thinking about it.

I've owned Kubota tractors for almost 10 years now and have yet to take one in for service. 😂 I've had zero issues with the tractors and that's 5 years with a BX25, a little over a year with an MX6000HST, 4 years with an MX6000HSTC and 3-1/2 years with an M6060 and around 1,000 hours all told. Not a lot of hours, but taking care of the important stuff like engine oil/filter changes, hydraulic oil/filter changes, cooling system maintenance including keeping the radiators clear, greasing, etc., goes a long way.

I keep getting texts and emails from the local Ford dealer reminding me to schedule a service appointment for the '24 F-450. Nope! Not going to do it. Despite the dealer's claims of changing the oil on the truck before offering it for sale, one of the first things I did was drain the oil and put in new oil and a new filter. The oil and coolant levels were out of spec when I bought the truck so that didn't exactly give me a warm and fuzzy feeling regarding the competency of the local dealer.

If a warranty issue pops up then I'll take the truck in, but for service, heck no!

I don't take my stuff in for servicing either, but if a significant warranty issue pops up its good to have some back up that maintenance intervals were not ignored. I like to at least keep copies of receipts while in warranty. After that its mainly keeping track so I don't forget when it was last done.
