Perkins with mysterious fluid in oil?

Hey Team, I have a Massey 670 with the famous Perkins AD4.236 engine - sumer clean running machine (came with our farm when we bought it). BUT, it started smoking like crazy, I checked the oil and it was WAY overful, and was as thin as fuel!
Last time this happened it was a steering pump leak. I checked the steering fluid (ok), hydraulic fluid (ok) and coolant (ok). Thinking it might be diesel getting in there somehow?
Any insights?

Id drain the oil, put some in a glass jug and see if it seperates. If it doesnt it has to be something petroleum based being added. If diesel fuel its likely coming through the seals on the injector pump drive gear shaft.

or one of the injectors is dripping un-atomized fuel into one of the cylinders and it's seeping past the rings. That would explain both diesel in the crankcase and the smoke.

Ah, the infamous rotary pump and they do leak lube oil. Think I'd do as suggested and if it's leaking, have it rebuilt or replace with a reman. I had one as well, way back when. I find Massey's to be somewhat under powered and clumsy looking.

The new Chinese ones are ok.

I'm now 99% sure it's diesel. Either through the lift or injection pump. Seal kits seem pretty inexpensive.
It seems to be leaking in there at a pretty high rate
And yes it is a pretty funny looking tractor. But I got it for free so no complaints. Power wise, it is about 55hp and runs super clean and strong. No complaints there either. It's just towing trailers and running a chipper right now so not exactly breaking a sweat.
Changed oil on it last night.

Lift pumps are cheap, Rotary injection pumps aren't. Think I'd go for a reman one.
